Tips & Instructions

HYGIENIC TIPS:

Before you put on the mask, it is important to take into account a number of things. According to the RIVM (Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid
en Milieu/National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) you should pay attention to the following:

Make sure you only remove the mouth mask from the packaging when you want to use the mouth mask. This ensures that the mouth cap cannot become infected with a virus in the meantime.
Disinfect your hands before putting on the mask. This prevents unwanted bacteria from getting on the mask before you put it on.
Make sure your face is properly shaved. Facial hair (also stubble) can prevent the mask from falling on your face and therefore not being closed properly.
Cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbows.
Use tissue paper to blow your nose and use it once.
Try to touch your eyes, mouth and nose as little as possible.
Try to wash your hands as often as possible; at least 20 seconds. See hand washing tips below.
If you are ill, stay at home.

CORRECT WAY TO WASH YOUR HANDS:

It is important to wash your hands regularly and correctly. This can prevent contamination with bacteria and viruses, and therefore also possible disease. But what is the best way to wash your hands?

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
Wash your hands under running water.
Use liquid soap for this.
Rub the soap all over the hand, including between the fingers and under the nails (see the figure below).
Rinse your hands well.
Dry your hands on a dry, clean towel or disposable paper towel.

HOW OFTEN CAN I USE THE MOUTH MASK?

Most mouth masks are for single use and should not be worn for longer than few hours. Our antibacterial fabric mask is however reusable, so you can hand wash it, hang it to dry and then reuse it (up to 30 times). It is of course recommended that you go outside as little as possible during the outbreak of the virus.
